SIXTH GRADE TEACHER Opening for 2010-2011
We are seeking a Waldorf trained, experienced and enthusiastic teacher for our rising sixth grade class. This group of students has been successfully guided by the same teacher from first to fifth grade. The teacher is leaving the class for personal reasons and the students are eagerly awaiting their new teacher who will guide them on their journey through the middle grades.
Incoming teachers would join our strong, experienced team of teachers who are committed to excellence in the classroom and working effectively with colleagues to meet the needs of our students.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
We offer full-time faculty a base salary of $37,600 plus increments of $1000 for a master’s degree and $1000 for a doctorate. An experience increment of $500 will be given for each year of successful, full-time Waldorf teaching experience and $500 for up to 5 years of successful, full-time teaching experience at a public or independent high school.
Benefits include full tuition remission for faculty children, health insurance, dental insurance, sabbatical, support with continuing education and conference attendance, a mentoring program, and a retirement account with TIAA-CREF.
